incident turns Green in the Recent window to alert
dispatchers that the call is ready for dispatch. The date and time of the RFD
function is logged to the TimeLine in the security Events. To enable this

4.7.18 as of 10/27/2010
Reports Manager: Lawman
now allows users to create and maintain discrete Primary and Supplement
reports. You can have a total of 999 individual reports per Incident. Reports
are now managed from a Reports Manager screen (accessed by the Reporting Button
in Lawman). At this screen you will be allowed to edit, secure, add notes and
change the report tracking for each individual report, so long as your security
level is sufficient or you are the owner of the individual report. Report
security has also been beefed up. Reports can no longer be left in an open
state. Reports are either secured before leaving the Reports Manager screen or
they are secured automatically upon exit. Special characters generated in the
Microsoft Office html files are no longer a problem. Old version reports are
automatically converted to the new specs when they are accessed for the first
time with the new system. Reporting can now be conducted on Closed Incidents.
Reports are now closed/secured individually and
supplements can be added at anytime. This new version
of Lawman requires the addition of two new data files to the database and each
workstation will need to be updated with the Lawman_Reports_Update_Setup.exe
before use.
4.7.19
as of 12/01/2010
Location
Common Names: Lawman has
been upgraded to do automatic “Location Common Name (AKA)” searches. This
feature becomes available if the House, House Suffix and Street fields are all
left blank. Then at the time that the cursor enters the Apt/Loc field it
changes a Location AKA dropdown box. You can begin to type the Location Name
and the field will “Type Ahead” and drop down to “Auto Suggest” items in the
list. When sufficient characters have been typed the field can be exited. If a
valid Location AKA was selected from the list, the appropriate address will be
“Backfilled” into the House, House Suffix, Street and Apt/Loc Fields.
4.7.19.4 as of 12/16/2010
Changes
to Lawman Reports Manager: A field has been added to allow the report owner to
assign a report to anyone that has a security classification in the system.
Reporting has been “Disconnected” from the main Lawman screen. You can now do
Inquiries and Lawman Maintenance while a report is open. The “Reporting” button
will stay disabled until the Report Manager is closed. When clicking on a
report in the Reports Manager a new option is available. “Change
Report Track/Re-Assign Ownership”. This option allows an owner to
directly re-assign a new owner, change note and/or change the report tracking
code without opening the report.
Changes to Lawman: The Offense History screen
now defaults to show “All Departments”. This feature is only meaningful in multi-
department installations.
4.7.20.5 as of 4/8/2011
Additions
to Lawman Reports Manager: The Reports Manager now includes a Report
Title/Description for each individual report. This is a 500 character field
to be used to give reports meaning at a glance. An example would be “Interview
with Jane Doe 3/23/2011”. This description is completely free form and can be
used as customers see fit. The Report Title/Description is accessed along with
the Report Notes on the Report Notes Screen. Authorized Users are now
able to Change Authors. When an Authorized User clicks on a Report Line
in the Reports Manager, the popup screen will display, with the addition of the
line “Change Author”. Clicking this line will display the screen to allow the
user to enter a New Author. Entering a new Author on this screen and clicking
OK will complete the process. Authorized Users are also able to Rearrange/Shuffle
Reports by Drag and Drop. This function can arrange Reports in a chronological
order as desired. To use the Drag/Drop function, the Authorized User needs to
press and hold the CTRL key, then click and drag a report to the desired
position in the list and release the mouse button to drop and complete the
process. Rules before Drag and Drop are enabled: The Incident of the Report
must be Open on the Main Lawman screen to insure that the report is locked to
other users and All Reports on the Reports Manager screen must be in a Secured
Status. Authorized Users for Changing Authors and Report Shuffling
are any users who have Report Approval/Archiving Authority in Lawman
Security.
